Mark Halperin this morning stated that Obama foolishly bringing up the missing McCain seven houses “opens the door” to Jeremy Wright, Tony Rezho, Bill Ayers etc.

Oh, like the Rove plant Steve Schmidt, recently hired by McCain, hasn’t tried to tie Obama to Paris Hilton or pretended he refused to visit wounded soldiers unless the press went along.

Halperin made the point that the Chattering Classes did not object to the over-the-top McCain Rezho counterpunch from the McCain campaign.

Please.

These guys want the Democrats to roll over while the Republicans bring out their usual slime. I find it DISTURBING a person does not know how many homes he owns.  No matter how much the Chattering Class defends McCain, there really is no plausible excuse for McCain not to know other than politically ducking the question.

Obama has every right to jump on that answer. Unfortunately, it is the first time the Obama campaign has finally held McCain accountable for some of the most ridiculous statements uttered by a potential statesmen this side of the Atlantic in a long time.

With all the excuses McCain needs to explain himself, the once was a POW shtick will fade away by the election.
